The Ohio Valley Association of Jungian Analysts was established and approved in August, 2001 as a member society of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). The IAAP is the international professional society that certifies both Jungian analysts and Jungian analytical societies. The Ohio Valley Association of Jungian Analysts (OVAJA) is currently composed of twelve Diplomate Jungian analysts residing within the Ohio Valley area.
Purpose:
The Ohio Valley Association of Jungian analysts was founded to promote study and research related to the psychology of C.G. Jung, to disseminate knowledge of analytical or Jungian psychology to the general public, to set and maintain high standards in the practice of Jungian analysis, and to articulate for the professional community the central elements of Jungian contributions to psychotherapeutic work. Society members meet regularly to review their individual and societal pursuit of these ends.
